Ariane Jurado de Bilbao’s story is one of courage, determination and incredible adaptability. Now a developer, she began her career as a nurse and psychopedagogue in her native Venezuela. At 29 she emigrated to Madrid with her 5-year-old son. At first, she struggled to find work in her profession and made the brave move to reinvent herself as a front-end developer. Starting all over again as a junior at the age of 33 was daunting, but Ariane realized her soft skills made up for a lack of technical knowledge. Her background working with families of children with functional diversity made her an empathetic team player. And in both her work and personal lives, she’s had to be more adaptable than most.
