What will you do?
Design, implement, and maintain scalable Functions in Palantir Foundry. Collaborate
with cross-functional teams to understand data requirements and translate them
into robust and efficient solutions using Agile Scrum Methodology.
Requires a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science Engineering or a directly related field plus three (3) years of data engineering experience.
Must have at least two (2) years of experience with the following:
- Experience with cloud services (E.G. AWS Glue, Azure Data Factory, Google Cloud Dataflow).
- Data modeling, database design, and optimization .
Must have at least one (1) year of experience with the following:
- SQL
- Python
- Py-spark
- TypeScript
- Version Control
- Git and Git Hub
Travel required up to 25%. Telecommuting is permitted.
Responsibilities

- Develop and optimize ETL processes to ensure timely and accurate data delivery to various business applications.

Implement data governance security best practices to safeguard sensitive information.

Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to data pipelines, ensuring continuous data availability and reliability.

Collaborate with data scientists and analysts to facilitate data-driven decision-making processes.

Stay current with emerging technologies and industry trends, incorporating innovative solutions into data engineering practices.

Document and communicate technical solutions and processes effectively.
-
Travel required up to 25%. Telecommuting is permitted.

Where will you work?
This position is in a fixed location based in the Birmingham, AL office. However, telecommuting from a home office may also be allowed. This position will require travel within the U.S. Specifically, domestic travel will be required about 25% of time for internal meetings and client sites. Please also note, applications involving job opportunities which require the beneficiary to work in various locations throughout the U.S. cannot be anticipated. Please note that this job is not eligible to be performed in the states of New York, New Jersey, California, or Colorado.
